Abstract Submission

Abstract submission was possible until November 15^th, 2022.

Instructions for authors:

• Technical notes 2023 - PDF
• Only one contribution (oral presentation or poster) may be submitted by the first author, who is always also the speaker. The submission of several oral presentations/posters - even on the same topic with changing author order - is not permitted and will lead to rejection of the contributions.
• The program committee decides on the acceptance and classification of the registered contributions; the first authors will be notified by e-mail at the beginning of February 2023 at the latest.
• Results of own research as well as clinical observations and experiences can be reported in the following formats:

Oral presentation (presentation of the scientific topic during an 8 minute oral presentation followed by a time slot of 2 minutes for possible discussion);

or

Digital poster presentation with explanation (presentation of the scientific topic and explanation of the poster in the context of a 3-minute short presentation plus 2-minute discussion. Additionally part of the digital poster exhibition during the whole congress);

or

Digital poster presentation (exclusively digital poster exhibition without additional oral explanation during the entire congress).

Note: Digital posters must be submitted online in advance no later than January 15^th, 2023. Authors will receive more detailed information on this and specifications on poster format with the acceptance letter. Posters not submitted by January 15^th, 2023 will not be considered in the congress program.

In addition, the following can be submitted:

Multimedia presentation (presentation including audio is self-explanatory. Please note: Powerpoint-Presentations with integrated video files which require oral explanations by the author will not be accepted).

Note: The presentation (duration max. 15 min.) has to upload online by January 15^th, 2023 at the latest. Further details will be disclosed to the authors with the confirmation. With submission the authors agree that the Multimedia Presentation will be included in the HNO Medithek (The society's Multimedia Library).

By submitting an abstract, the author declare:

• that this abstract has not been and will not be presented, shown or published before the German ENT-Congress 2023 in Leipzig;
• his consent to the publication of the abstract in an Open Access portal;
• his note that a fee-based congress registration is mandatory if the submitted abstract will be accepted
• his consent with the collection, processing and utilization of the personal data according to the data protection regulations of the German Society of ORL HNS.

Nota bene:

• Registrations received after November 15^th, 2022 will not be considered.
• Contributions from authors who are not members of the German Society of ORL-HNS can be accepted only in exceptional cases. The next vote on the acceptance of new members will take place during the next meeting of the Board committee. Applications received by the office by October 23^th, 2022, may be considered for this purpose - to the Membership Application.
• Applications from industry cannot be considered in the oral presentation program, but only in the form of industry symposia.
• With the acceptance of the submitted abstract a fee-based congress registration is mandatory.
